The UTA held its annual meeting in Green Bay, Wi. in conjunction with the Wisconsin Taxidermists Association (WTA) convention and competition. What a great event!  The support and hospitality given by the WTA was superb.

The UTA provided a business management workshop, a hospitality meet and greet in the suppliers area as well as sponsored a waterfowl mounting competition.  Additionally, the UTA manned a complementary booth in the Deer Classic

We Stand Together

The United Taxidermist Association is an international organization with thousands of members worldwide.  We have no boundaries.  Our vision is to unite, promote, and champion the needs of taxidermists and those that support and strengthen us where ever we are.

The UTA grew from the need for unity and professionalism within the taxidermy industry.  In art, unity occurs when all of the elements combine to make a balanced, harmonious, complete whole.  The UTA creates that unity, a place for all individuals to come together for the betterment of the industry and those that support it.

It’s no coincidence that the UTA starts with You!  Be a part of the most positive new force in taxidermy.  Join the United Taxidermist Association today.  www.unitedtaxidermyassociation.com

Sports Show and in the WTA supplier area. Many new members signed up and others renewed. We appreciate their support. The UTA also signed up three new business members and welcomed Matuska Supply Company, H&H Fur Dressing, Inc. and Lee's Cabinetry to the association.

The most exciting event was the award of the first UTA Artisan Award, won by WTA member David Schmidt for a beautiful cinnamon bear. UTA Board Chairman, Craig Lewis was able to present the award and recognize the bear sculptor and UTA board member Ken Walker as well as UTA board member Steve Favour who cast the sculpture in bronze. The award was very well received.

The UTA annual meeting was held on Sunday and well attended.  The UTA again thanks the WTA for their extraordinary hospitality and for making this annual event a success.
