The “Best Glue in the History of Taxidermy”.
“The PRO-1 brush on has great stretch w/ very little shrinkage and the cleanliness of the product provides easy grooming. PRO-1 Hide Paste is the best glue on the planet hands down! I truly cannot say enough about this product. All skin unions to cast parts were glued w/ just PRO-1 adhesive, no crazy glue anywhere.” – Clint Rickey
Ravenel Freeze Dry is family owned and operated with over 17 years of experience – specializing in freeze dry turkey heads.
We offer freeze dried turkey heads as well as stock heads (when available). Each head is skinned and then soaked in a moth-proofing solution which eliminates insect problems. There are many poses available which gives the taxidermist a wide range of positions to choose from for mounting their customer’s turkeys.
We have extensive experience in the freeze-drying of turkey heads, reptiles, small mammals, velvet antlers, gator heads, and much more. If the item you want to freeze dry is not listed on our rates and services page, please contact us for pricing and estimated turn- around time. Also, check our shipping and misc. page for shipping suggestions on the best way to ship your specimen to us.

Wildlife Fur Dressing provides two types of fur preparation services to suit your needs: Wet tanning and Dry tanning. Both types of tanning include our thorough and detailed fleshing process that removes any remaining muscle or fatty tissue from the hide, providing a soft, smooth finish. This extra fleshing also ensures that your finished hide can be easily used in whatever your final application might, from sewing and stitching to mounting.
Armando Navas, President and CEO of the company, is the second generation of the Navas family in the industry. He not only makes sure that everything runs smoothly in the office, but he also supervises the factory alongside his sons. Armando is armed with the knowledge and experience of over 40 years in the tanning industry. The combined years of experience ensure the quality behind each hide that is processed.
By striving for the highest standards in quality, we are better able to provide consistent fleshing, relaxed tanning, and ready to mount hides.

Taxidermy Toolshed opened in 2015 after the owner, Sam Brewer, who has done taxidermy for himself and a few close friends over the past 20 years, invented the Mega Mount; a stand that would allow the taxidermist to be more efficient and decrease the time required to complete each project.
“The Mega Mount is the most versatile stand in my shop! I love how it can bused for any pose, in any position. Whether I’m working on a running fox with one paw on the ground, a leaping bobcat, or a bear on all fours – the stand easily conforms to any position of the feet. I like how I can use it on the ground, or attach it to my mounting stand to maximize floor space! No more cradling small animals in my lap while I sew them, or having to build a frame to hold a large form. Those days are over. I love my Mega Mount.” – Amy Ritchie Carter
